Coal Cheap and dirty

Coal is cheap, domestic, and easy to use, making coal electricity the cheapest in the world. This is especially important in developing countries, like China and India, where coal makes up over 70% of their electricity. But coal is dirty, producing huge amounts of local pollution and more than half the world’s CO2 emissions. The cost to capture this carbon would likely eliminate coal's price advantage. Knowing this, will we continue to use it?
